Alih Hamza was born into a muslim family in Ajegunle Lagos state . He grow up writing lyrics when he was in secondary school at the age of 12. He attended his primary school and secondary school in Lagos and osun state he attend a primary school called U.C.P.S (UNITED CHRISTIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL)Papa Lagos State and later travel to meet his mother at Ile-ife osun state where he started his music career with writing some lyrics
He started recording music when he travel to his father village in Kogi state where me meet a friend called Abdul Yusuf (Swavey) at a school called Lotus Ideal college Yusuf has a elder brother called Lawal who is also known as Lampex
Lampex helped Boi Rico by letting him into their record label called value music record where he release his first track called Tido mi(dance for me) at the age of 17 from there he started releasing some track like
